Maggie, Spencer & Madison: The inspiration behind Canine Commuter

My English Cocker Spaniels are the reason behind Canine Commuter.

These sweet, funny, loving, wonderful, adorable, perfect pups served as the Canine Commuter models during our four-year research phase.  We commuted together 80 miles roundtrip every weekday. While I drove the car, they test-drove numerous seat belts, harnesses, crates, and travel accessories. All of us became knowledgeable about what works and what doesn’t when it comes to safety, security, comfort and fun!

We are sharing our knowledge and experience with you via Canine Commuter.

Keeping pets safe during travel is our mission.  Canine Commuter helps educate the consumer on safe pet travel practices and innovative, quality travel products for pets.

After my dog, Maggie, was injured by a poorly designed safety harness during our morning commute, I set out to find a solution that would work better for us.  We experienced varying degrees of quality and performance with the products we tried - so I started Canine Commuter.  By independently screening product samples and putting them through their paces, we help you, the consumer, select quality pet products.  If we like a product we work with the manufacturer to offer it on www.CanineCommuter.com.
